System Requirements for compiling the Programatica Source Bundle (060821)

*  480MB free file system space
*  512MB RAM recommended

* Linux/*BSD/Unix or something similar

All software used is either installed by default or available as
standard software packages for the tested Linux systems (Ubuntu,
Fedora Core 5, RedHat Enterprise Linux 4) and FreeBSD. Below is a list
of programs not installed by default in all systems:

* For Programatica command line tools:
        GHC >=6.4.1
        gcc
        GNU make
        rsync
        bash
	ncurses development support
	    Fedora: ncurses-devel

* Additional requirements for building pfebrowser and Alfa:
        X11 development support (needed for Fudgets)
            Debian packages: libxext-dev, libx11-dev
            Fedora packages: libXext-devel, libX11-devel
        GNU tar

* Additional requirements for building Plover
        LaTeX (needed for the installation of Stratego)
            Debian packages: tetex-bin
            Fedora packages: tetex-latex
            FreeBSD packages: teTeX
